Cooperation and Networking
The main purpose of the cooperation of Uusimaa Regional Council is to support the regional development process.
The international cooperation focuses on the Baltic Sea Region and on the Northern Dimension. It supports Interreg programmes and develops EU projects.
Uusimaa Regional Council maintains a regional office in Brussels with the City of Helsinki and Helsinki University.

The main purpose of international cooperation is to support the regional development process. Services provided by the Regional Council include
- networking and liaison, especially within the Baltic Sea Region
- Interreg programme support
- EU project development, support and partner search
- participation in international networks and assemblies
- maintaining a regional office in Brussels
Because of the geographical location of Uusimaa, the entire Baltic Sea Region and Russia are important partners.
